AC unit, grow lights (LED), sticker print, beads, wire and tape, pvc wheels
90 x 30 x 50 cm / 7 minuet cycle
Shown as part of 'Slap Dash For No Cash', a group show of works that embrace a 'DIY' aesthetic, drawing from the idea of ‘Technological Disobedience’ - A 1990's Cuban anti-consumerist socialist movement built on repurposing and open source - at The Old Newington Library, London.
Multi-functional artwork made by modifying a fan/AC unit. With LED grow-lights, painted wooden beads threaded onto soldered wires connecting the LEDs together. This work’s fan ran on a 7 minute on/off cycle revealing a character when in the off/stopped state; of a blowing cloud.
