UV print on aluminium, Pen
These works come from scans of collections of things I’ve found – paper, postcards, pages from books, lottery tickets, foil from chocolate coins and stickers – I like how they were used, and folded, and forgotten. Then digitised by me, and printed onto aluminium – where they are manipulated, bent to keep their shape, cut like paper and drilled through. Giving a permanence to something fragile.
I am interested in taking things that exist in one state and transforming them. Altering their physical properties (as well as their functions). This has manifested in past work as coins re-cast to form a sculpture, then coloured with patina to emulate a parakeet. Or code that is rewritten to replicate Hamlet within an operating system. Or with these aluminium works. Subtle changes, hidden at first glance, that bestow new absurd, comical, conceptual properties on the humble or overlooked, pointing out: "the world is something we make, and just as easily could make differently."
All these works —Nude, 82 + Big Scrip + Cindy + Romanced and the coins on the floor —are currently on show at Haninge Konsthall as part of Krona Eller Klave?, Stockholm (Sweden) until the 10th May 2026. You can see some more about Krona Eller Klave? if you click on this link.

Here are some photos of them in that exhibition —it should be noted the gallery wall is off-white/gray.
